Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam today stressed the need for taking the ongoing projects forward for rural development and improving the people’s living standard.
“Socio-economic importance should be taken into consideration in case of implementing any project,” he said at a review meeting on the progress of the projects being implemented under the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division and affiliated departments and agencies under the fiscal 2018-19 at the conference room of Rural Development and Cooperatives Division in the city.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya, Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Secretary Md Kamal Uddin Talukder and other officials concerned attended the meeting, said an official release.
Tajul emphasized on taking necessary steps for recruiting manpower against the vacant posts in different institutions and projects.
