News Desk : The jawans of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have returned three members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and their two female informants 10 hours after they were picked up from Cumilla’s border area.

The Rab members are– constable Abdul Matin, constable Reagan Barua, and soldier Wahedul Islam. The names of the two female informants could not be known.

“The elite force members are the member of CPC-2 of Rab-11,” said assistant superintendent of police Mohitul Islam, in-charge of the CPC-2.

They were in Rab’s jackets when they crossed the border, he said.

In this regard, Nurul Islam, the company commander of Bangladesh’s Sankuchail BOP, said: “Rab members with their two women sources crossed the borderline mistakenly while they were going to raid a house around 7:30 am. BSF picked them up after that. A BGB-BSF flag meeting began at 4 pm. After the meeting, the detainees were returned at 5 pm.”

The meeting was attended by BSF-BGB officials, including 74-BSF inspector RJ Mithu of India, and Subedar Nurul Islam, the company commander of Bangladesh’s Sankuchail BOP.
