One held with 20 gold bars in Ctg airport

The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officials arrested a passenger of Biman Bangladesh Airlines with 20 gold bars at Shah Amanat International Airport this morning.

On a tip-off, the officials recovered the gold bars after searching the bag of Wahidul Alam, a resident of Charia village of Hathazari upazila in Chattagram district, said Airport manager wing commander Sarwar-E-Zaman.

Alam flew in from Dubai by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, flight BG148 and landed in Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram at about 8.50 am, he said.
