7 returnees sent to hospital from airport

Online Desk : Seven people have been sent to a hospital soon after their their arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka airport from abroad in last 24 year.

The overseas passengers came from Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Singapore and Malaysia in separate flights on Wednesday and Thursday.

Airport’s Director Group Captain Touhid ul Ahsan informed this at a press conference on Thursday.

“The returnees have been screened in the airport and detected high body temperature. They were immediately sent to Kuwait Friendship Hospital,” he added.

Replying to a question, Touhid-ul Ahsan told China returnees are also being screened like other passengers. On physicians’ advise, the passengers are sent to either hospital or for quarantine. Meanwhile seven persons came from Sweden and Slovenia on Wednesday night despite a government ban.

They, were, later sent for quarantine.
