Fakhrul writes to Home Minister asking to free all political activists

Online Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has sent a letter to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal asking him to release the leaders and activists who have been in jails being convicted in political cases or in under-trial cases.

The BNP Secretary General sent the letter to the Home Minister early Wednesday afternoon. BNP Chairperson’s media wing official Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed it.

Shairul Kabir Khan said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has requested the Home Minister to release leaders and activists of all the political parties in the wake of deadly coronavirus pandemic across the country.

The first coronavirus infected case was detected in the country on March 8 last. Twenty people have so died and 218 perople infecetd in the country with the contagious disease.

The government has also declared general holiday at all public and private offices. All the educational institutions have remained closed.
