Coronavirus: Bangladesh reports 7 more deaths, cases cross 1000

Online desk ; The number of deadly coronavirus cases reached at 1,012 as 209 have tested positive in last 24 hours. This is the highest number of infected cases in a single day. Meanwhile, the toll from the virus rose to 46 with seven new deaths.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), informed on Tuesday at a regular online bulletin over COVID-19.

She urged the country people to stay at home and follow the guidelines of the DGHS to prevent the spread of the virus.

The bulletin also informed that highest 1,905 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 1,19,696 as of Tuesday morning.
