Man fined Tk 1 lakh for producing fake hand sanitizer

Online desk ; A mobile court in Bogura on Wednesday fined a man Tk 1 lakh for producing fake hand sanitizer. The mobile court, led by executive magistrate GM Rashedul Islam, raided the factory of New Shah Amanat Chemical Unit One Bangladesh at Matidhola area in the district town and seized a large amount of disapproved hand sanitizer.

Later, the mobile court fined the factory owner Mottakim Dolan Tk 100,000, in default, to serve one year in jail.

Meanwhile, one Aminur Islam was fined Tk 50,000 under the Consumers Rights Protection Act for producing Lacchi Semai in unhealthy environment in Brindabanpara area of the town. RAB-12 acting company commander Rawshan Ali along with other elite members also assisted in the drive.
