Online Desk : Duration of the ongoing general holiday declared to prevent coronavirus infection is likely to be extended by 10 more days.
A proposal in this regard has been submitted to the Prime Minister’s office.
Sources at the Ministry of Public Administration said the general holiday will be extended up to May 15. A new circular will be issued either on Sunday or Monday if the Prime Minister makes approval of the proposal.
In the wake of coronavirus pandemic in the country, the government declared general holiday at all government offices from March 26 to April 4. The duration of the general holiday were later extended up to May 5.
At the same time, movement of all kinds of transports across the country was also banned.
Besides, restriction was imposed on coming out of the houses from 6:00am to 6:00pm in the order issued on April 10.
All the educational institutions of the country have also kept closed since March 17.
