Country sees highest 28 deaths in single day

Online Desk : The highest number of deaths from novel coronavirus is recorded in Bangladesh on Sunday as 28 patients died in last 24 hours. With this, total 480 corona patients died from the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, 1,532 tested positive for COVID-19 during this period, taking the tally to 33,610, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana disclosed the figure at its regular online briefing this afternoon.

A total of 8,908 samples have been tested across the country in the past 24 hours, Dr Nasima said. Some 415 COVID-19 patients made recovery from the virus infection till today, taking the total number to 6,901.
