37 more deaths from COVID-19 in Bangladesh

Online desk : The death toll rose to 1,049 in Bangladesh on Thursday as 37 more died from novel coronavirus in last 24 hours. During this period, 3,187 fresh cases were reported, raising the infection number to 78,052.
A total of 15,772 samples were tested in 55 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Some 848 corona patients have recovered, taking the total number to 16,747.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the matter during daily online bulletin on coronavirus.

She urged everyone to stay at home and follow the health guidelines issued by the DGHS and World Health Organisation. She also requested people to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.

People should careful about children and pregnant woman at their family, Dr Nasima advised.

The global death toll from the highly contagious COVID-19 stood at 416,084 while the number of confirmed cases reached 7,357,011 on this morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.
