Bangladesh records highest 46 deaths from COVID-19

Online desk : Bangladesh on Friday recorded highest 46 deaths from the deadly Covid-19 in last 24 hours With these, the death toll rose to 1,095. During this period, 3,471 fresh cases were reported, raising the infection number to 81,523.

A total of 15990 samples were tested in 59 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Some 502 corona patients have recovered, taking the total number to 17,249.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the matter during daily online bulletin on coronavirus.

She urged everyone to stay at home and follow the health guidelines issued by the DGHS and World Health Organisation. She also requested people to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.

People should careful about children and pregnant woman at their family, Dr Nasima advised.

The global death toll from the highly contagious COVID-19 stood at 420,993 while the number of confirmed cases reached 7,500,777 on this morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.
