Bangladesh: Highest 53 deaths recorded in single day

Online desk ; Highest 53 deaths from COVID-19 in single day pushed the total number to 1,262 in Bangladesh on Tuesday. During this period, 3,862 fresh cases were recorded, raising the total infection number to 94,481.
Of the deceased, 47 were male and six were female.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the figure during daily online bulletin on coronavirus on Sunday.
She urged everyone to stay at home and follow the health guidelines issued by the DGHS and World Health Organisation. She also requested people to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.
In the last 24 hours, 61 laboratories across the country tested 17,214 samples.Besides, 2,237 more people made recovery from the disease during the same period
People should careful about children and pregnant woman at their family, Dr Nasima advised.
The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed over 436,322 lives globally while the number of confirmed cases has gone up to 8,015,053 as of Tuesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.
