Bangladeshi killed by BSF on Naogaon border

Online Desk : A Bangladeshi national was killed allegedly by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along the border area in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon district early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Bari, 45, a resident of Dakshin Patari village .

Locals said a group of cattle traders went to Patari border area at wee hours on Wednesday. At one stage, the BSF members of Khutadah Camp opened fire on them. All of them managed to flee the scene but Abdul Bari could not do so.

Being informed, his son and brother, later, rescued critically injured Bari from the place. They rushed blood-soaked Abdul Bari to Sapahar Upazila Health Complex where he died during treatment.

Confirming the matter, Sapahar Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Hye said Abdul Bari might have died due to merciless torture in custody by the BSF members.
