39 deaths, 3,531 new cases reported in country

Online Desk ; Thirty-nine more deaths from coronavirus and 3,531 new cases have been recorded in the country in last 24 hours, till Sunday morning. Now, the country’s death tally rose to 1,464 while positives cases to 1,12,306.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the matter in the daily online bulletin on the COVID-19 situation in the afternoon.

She urged everyone to stay at home and follow the health guidelines issued by the DGHS and World Health Organisation. She also requested people to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.

A total of 15,585 samples were tested across the country in the past 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.

Some 1,084 more coronavirus patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovery reached 45,057.People should careful about children and pregnant woman at their family, Dr Nasima advised.

The confirmed coronavirus cases reached 8,768,285, globally, with over 463,999 fatalities, according to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) on Sunday.

According to JHU data, Brazil and Russia have come up to the second and the third positions after the US with 1,032,913 and 576,162 confirmed coronavirus cases as of Sunday.
