Now, MPs asked to get coronavirus test

Online desk ; Members of Parliament have been told to get tested for the COVID-19 after a number of lawmakers got infected with the virus.
A total of 170 MPs who will join the ongoing sessions of the parliament have been asked for the tests.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal placed the national budget for 2020-21 on June 11 while the supplementary budget was passed on June 15. The session was adjourned till June 23.

The 170 MPs will join the general discussions on the proposed budget that will resume on June 23.
According to sources, 94 officials and employees of the parliament secretariat and 82 ansar members posted there have been infected ith the virus.

So far, 15 ministers and MPs contracted the COVID-19. Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury said this test was not mandatory, the decision was taken considering the matter of health.
