Bangladeshi civilian killed by Indian BSF handed over to BGB

Online Desk : Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over the body of a Bangladeshi man three days after he was shot dead by BSF along Haluaghat border in Mymensingh district.

The deceased Abdul Jalil, 40, was a mentally disabled person. He was the son of Abdul Malek, a resident of village Pashchim Gobrakura.

BSF shot dead Abdul Jalil in Gobrakura border area on Tuesday morning.

Haluaghat Police Station inspector Abu Bakar Siddique said he received the body at the border at noon. Earlier, officials of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a meeting with the BSF officials in this regard at the no man’s land, he added.

BGB Gobrakura compay commander Abdul Mazid, sub-inspector Khokan Chandra Sarker and BGB, BSF officials, among others, were present at that time.The body was handed over to the deceased’s family.
