Bangladeshi among 7 arrested for ‘kidnapping’ in Malaysia

Online Desk : Malaysia CID police have detained seven men including a Bangladeshi national for allegedly kidnapping and killing a businessman who had the title “Datuk Seri”.

Conducting several drives in the capital Kuala Lumpur on June 26 and 27, police detained the accused, reported a national online portal “The Star”.

Police did not disclose the details information of the detainees.The victim, a property developer, was kidnapped on June 10 while he was jogging in Bandar Sri Damansara.

Kualalampur’s Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat said the suspects demanded RM 154 million as ransom from the victim’s family.

As the ransom was not paid, they murdered the businessmen.Gleaning information from the detainees, police recovered the decomposed body from a house in Taman Kosaso, Rawang.The body has been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital morgue, said the officer.The investigation also revealed that the kidnappers were known to the victim.
