One jailed, fined for illegal Hepatitis B vaccine

Online Desk : A mobile court in Gopalganj district town sentenced a man one year imprisonment and fined Tk 2,00,000 for possessing Hepatitis B vaccine and blood illegally.
On information, law enforcers raided Jamuna Medical Supply at Swarna Tower in DC Road area on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 249 ampoules of illegal hepatitis B vaccine and three bag blood were recovered.

The mobile court, led by executive magistrate Sheikh Salauddin Dipu, awarded its owner Abdul Alim, 40, one year imprisonment and fined Tk 2 lakh, in default, to suffer six months more imprisonment.
