Bangladesh’s COVID-19 deaths rise to 2,709

Online Desk : The number of deaths from novel coronavirus stood at 2,709 in Bangladesh on Tuesday as 41 more people fatalities reported in last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the country virus cases reached 2,10,510 with 3,057 more fresh cases after testing 12,898 samples.

Some 1,841 more corona patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recovery to 1,15,397, Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the figure at the daily health bulletin this afternoon.

So far, 10,54,569 samples have been tested till Tuesday afternoon. Currently, the death rate is 1.29 per cent while the infection rate is 19.96 per cent.Of the dead,
34 were male and seven were female.

Some 59,079 people are now under quarantine. In the last 24 hours, 2,375 corona patients released from quarantine period. Total 3,55,424 people have, so far, completed their quarantine course till today.
