Face mask made mandatory for all

Online Desk : The government has issued a notification making the use of masks mandatory for all the citizens from roadside hawkers to the passengers in public transports and in offices during the coronavirus pandemic.
The notification, issued on Tuesday by the Health Ministry, said wearing face mask is applicable for all citizens living in Bangladesh.
The copies of the notification have been sent to the secretaries/senior secretaries of all ministries and divisions and the DG of the DGHS.
Besides, the law enforcement agencies have been asked to play role in enforcing the use of face masks.
Officials and employees of government, semi government, autonomous and private offices and service seekers in those offices must wear masks. Offices concerned will ensure the matter.
Wearing masks should be ensured in the educational institutions, mosques, temple and churches. Local authorities and managing committee concerned will ensure the matter.
Buyers and sellers in haats and bazars shall use mask. No selling-purchasing will take place without wearing masks. Local administration and haat-bazar committee to ensure the matter.
Wearing masks is mandatory for driver, his assistant and passengers of public transports (road,river,rail and airways).
Besides, wearing mask made mandatory in garment factories, hotels and restaurants, for hawkers, rickshaw-van pullers and participants in social programmes. All healthy family members should wear mask if there is any coronavirus patient in the house, said the notification.
