COVID-19: 2,548 cases, 35 deaths in 24 hrs

Online Desk : Bangladesh on Friday reported 2,548 coronavirus cases and 35 deaths in last 24 hours. The total cases from COVID-19 stand at 2,836 while the cases reach 2,18,658, confirmed Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana at the daily health bulletin in the afternoon.
During this period, 80 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 12,398 specimens and found 2,548 positive cases.

Meanwhile, 1,768 coronavirus patients made recovery in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery counts to 1,20,976. Among the new deceased, 28 were male and seven were female.

Dr Nasima urged everyone to wash their hands with soap, wear face masks and follow other health guidelines to stay safe.Bangladesh reported the first coronavirus positive cases on March 8 while the first death was registered ten days later on March 18.
