Chinese vaccine: Govt to take decision after review

Online desk : The government may allow the clinical trial of Chinese Covis-19 vaccine in Bangladesh after reviewing satisfactory resutls of its tests.

Chinese company Sinivac had proposed to conducted the third phase trial on Bangladesh healthcare staffers. The government will take decision after review of its est results.

Health Services Division Secretary Abdul Mannan informed this to the media on Tuesday.

“Some 4,200 health workers are needed to conduct the third phase trial. Country’s Covid-19 health centers have the adequate number of health workers. That’s why they choose Bangladesh,” he said.

The number of patients have reduced in China during the first and second trials, said the secretary adding that it is a hope for Bangladesh. They placed the proposal through the ICDDR,B, he added.
