Virus death toll rises to 3,365 in Bangladesh

Online Desk : The tally of deaths from COVID-19 is larger day by day in Bangladesh.In last 24 hours, 32 more patients died of the deadly virus, pushing the total number to 3,365.

Meanwhile, the cases reached 2,55,113 as 2,611 more have infected with the virus.

Of the deceased, 25 were male and seven were female.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services, confirmed the matter while presenting a daily bulletin on the country’s coronavirus situation at a virtual press briefing on Saturday.

Total 11,737 samples were tested in 84 labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

The country’s death rate is 1.32 per cent while the infection rate is 22.25 per cent, the bulletin said.

Till Saturday, 1,020 more corona patients recovered, taking the total recovery to 1,46,604.
Currently, the recovery rate is 57.47 per cent.
