Sewing machines distributed among women on birth anniv of Bangamata

Online Desk : Sewing machines have been distributed among 20 poor women in Bhola’s Lalmohan upazila, marking the 90th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The upazila administration and women affairs office arranged the programme at the upazila parishad auditorium on Saturday morning.

Presided over by UNO Habibul Hasan Rumi, lawmaker from Bhola-3 constituency Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon was the chief guest in the programme.

Among others, the upazila parishad chairman principal Gias Uddin Ahmed, female vice-chairman Masuma Begum and the upazila women affairs officer Md Nurunnabi were present.
