Online desk : The government has cancelled this year’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations because of the coronavirus pandemic.
An official release issued by the Education Ministry confirmed the matter on Thursday.
The Ministry had sent a proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office on August 23 seeking her consent in this regard. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given approval to cancel the exams.
Earlier on Tuesday, the government cancelled this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and equivalent Ebtedayee examination centrally. All educational institutions have remained closed since March 17 to contain the spread of Covid-19.
