41 more die of COVID-19 in country

Online desk : Bangladesh on Wednesday reported 41 more deaths from coronavirus, taking the total deaths to 4,593. During this timeline, 1827 fresh cases were reported, taking the total virus cases to 3,31,078.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, 2,995 more corona patients made recovery during this time period, taking the total recovery counts to 2,30,804.
Among the newly dead persons, 36 died in different hospitals while three died at home.
The latest day’s infection rate is 19.77 per cent, compared to the sample tested.
As of today, a total of 3,582 men (77.99 per cent) and 1,011 (22.01 per cent) women died of of the deadly virus in the country.
Some 94 coronavirus testing labs across the country collected 14,792 samples in the last 24 hours and tested 14,755 . So far, a total of 16,74,452 samples have been tested.
According to Worldometer’s COVID-19 data, the deadly virus has killed 9,02,356 people globally and infected 2,77,64,017 as of Wednesday afternoon.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
