Shahed pleads not guilty, demands justice

Online desk ; Regent Group chairman Shahed Karim alias Mohammad Shahed has pleaded not guilty and demanded justice in court.
“No arms were recovered from me. I am totally innocent. I demanded justice before the court,” said Shahed while giving self-defence statements before Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Judge Imrul Kayesh.

While the court asking him about define witness, Shahed replied negative.

Then, the court then fixed Thursday for arguments in arms case.

On Tuesday, the court ended recording deposition of the case. Of the 14 witnesses, the court recorded deposition of 11 in the case.

RAB arrested Shahed on July 15 from under the Bailey Bridge in the Komarpur border area of Debhata Upazila in Satkhira, while he was fleeing to India.

They seized a pistol, three bullets and 2,330 Indian rupees, and he was then taken to Dhaka by helicopter. The case was registered at Debhata Police Station.
