Online Desk : The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved a total of six proposals including one for importing 50,000 metric tons non-basmati boiled rice.
The approval came from the 37th meeting of the CCGP in this year held virtually with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair, reports BSS.
Briefing reporters virtually after the meeting, Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal said Bangladesh will import 50,000 metric tons non-basmati boiled rice from Ms PK Agri Link Private Limited of India at a cost of Tk 168.62 crore.
The day’s CCGP meeting also approved a proposal from the Local Government Division to appoint the joint venture of RAMBOL A/S Denmark, Aqua Consultant and Associates Limited (Bangladesh) and Resource Planning and Management Consultants (Pvt) Limited (Bangladesh) as consultants for Tk 57.79 crore for the “Second City Development” project.
The meeting also approved the proposal from the Civil Aviation to appoint a joint venture of Ms CYWEB and CCECC as contractor Tk 1,568.86 crore for the “Expansion of Cox’s Bazar Airport Runway” Package No. WD-1.
The meeting approved a variation proposal from Civil Aviation to appoint the Halla Construction Co. Korea at Tk 653.71 crore for the “Cox’s Bazar Airport Development Project (1st Phase) (3rd Amendment).”
The meeting also gave nod to a procurement proposal for giving approval to the Ideal Electrical Enterprise Limited for improving standard of the eight sub-stations (33/11KV AIS to 33/11KV GIS) under the “Development of the Power Distribution Arrangement Project, Cumilla Zone” at a cost of Tk 199.69 crore.
The meeting also approved another proposal of the Power Division to procure 18,562 SPC Pole from Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) at Tk 28.03 crore under the “100 per cent Electricity Network Expansion for Rural Electrification (Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet).”
