Appellate Division’s chamber judge Justice Md Nuruzzaman stayed the High Court order for eight weeks after hearing an application filed by the hospital authorities.
Barrister Anik R. Huque, Barrister Hasan MS Azim, Barrister Muntasir Ahmed and writ petitioner Niaz Muhammad Mahbub appeared for writ petitioner, while Barrister Mustafizur Rahman Khan and Kazi Ershadul Alam appeared for United Hospital.
On January 11 last, HC bench comprising Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Md Khairul Alam asked the United Hospital authorities to pay Tk 30 lakh as compensation pending the hearing of a ruling over the matter.
