A cargo plane carrying the Indian manufactured vaccines landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport 11:20am, Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan, director of the airport, confirmed.
He said from the airport, the vaccines will be taken to the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) storage in Tejgaon. Some trucks were seen waiting at the airport to carry the vaccines.
Earlier this morning, the cargo with the vaccines left Mumbai airport for Dhaka.
Besides, some 50 lakh vaccines bought by Bangladesh from Serum Institute of India will arrive here on January 25.
