Online desk : Police in a drive recovered 285 bottles of Phensedyl from a microbus on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district on Tuesday afternoon.
Goalanda Ghat Police Station officer-in-charge Swapan Kumar Majumdar said acting on a tip-off, a team of police set a check post on the highway. In the evening, police signaled a microbus to stop but they didn’t stop.
Meanwhile, when police chased them, the drug dealers left the microbus and ran away.
Later, police recovered the drugs from the micro-bus.
A case was filed with the police station against unknown persons and legal steps would be taken in this regard, the OC added.
