Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman tomorrow on the occasion of installation of her government for the third consecutive term.
Sheikh Hasina will pay tributes to Bangabandhu by placing a wreath at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi here tomorrow morning.
The prime minister and her new cabinet colleagues will later go to National Memorial at Savar and pay tributes to the Liberation War martyrs.
Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungipara of Gopalganj on Wednesday to pay homage to Bangabandhu there.
The prime minister along with her new cabinet colleagues will pay tributes to Bangabandhu by placing a wreath at his shrine in Tungipara on Wednesday morning, official sources in Gopalganj said.
A smartly turned out contingent to be drawn from the three forces will give a guard of honour to the prime minister on the occasion.
Sheikh Hasina will also attend a special munajat and offer a fateha seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu, the sources said.
She took oath as the prime minister for the fourth time, the third in a row, with a 47-member council of ministers today, a week after the Awami League-led Grand Alliance’s landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary election held on December 30 last.
The new cabinet comprising 24 ministers, 19 state ministers and three deputy ministers took oath at a state ceremony at Bangabhaban Darbar Hall.
President M Abdul Hamid administered the oath of office and oath of secrecy to Sheikh Hasina and her new cabinet members.
