State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said stopping corruption is possible by ensuring desired utilization of information and communication technology (ICT).
“We need to stop corruption to further expedite the development in the country. Using of ICT can become handy in this regard. We have managed to stop corruption in land sector by using ICT,” he said.
Palak said these while addressing a views exchange meeting with local representatives, government officials and newsmen at Natore Circuit House this afternoon.
“Government is taking the high speed internet service to all the unions across the country by laying optical fiber cable. People’s suffering has gone down a lot after launching online services in the union digital centers. A total of 2,900 services will be provided from these centers in phases,” the state minister added.
Palak further said the new government would continue working to turn the villages into towns and to build a prosperous and corruption-free Bangladesh by utilizing the power of youth.
Natore-1 lawmaker Md Shahidul Islam Bakul, Natore district council chairman advocate Sazedur Rahman Khan, civil surgeon Dr Azizul Islam, additional superintendant of police Akram Hossain and Natore Municipality Mayor Uma Chowdhury Jolly were present, among others, on the occasion.
