Outgoing Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh Prof Dr Chop Lal Bhusal today paid a farewell call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here.
During meeting, the President stressed exploring trade and investment potential of Bangladesh and strengthening the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Nepal.
President Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
President Hamid underscored the need for arranging exchange-visit between the representatives of both government and private levels of the two friendly countries aiming to strengthen bilateral ties.
Recalling the cooperation of Nepal during the 1971 Liberation War, he expressed gratitude to the Nepalese government and its people.
The President also thanked the Nepalese envoy for the successful completion of his assignment in Dhaka.
Lal Bhusal expressed his gratefulness to the President for providing heartfelt cooperation during his stay in Bangladesh.
He requested the President to make the VISAs of Nepalese students, who intend to study in Bangladesh, easier.
