Haluaghat Upazila Health and Family Welfare officer Dr Munir Ahmed and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Rezaul Karim confirmed about another coronavirus infected person in the upazila on Tuesday night.
Earlier on Sunday last, a female medical officer of the Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex was infected with coronavirus.
Besides, a youth was also infected with coronavirus on April 16 last.
Dr Munir Ahmed said three people including two medical officers have been infected with coronavirus in the upazila.
Samples of 33 people have so far been sent to the PCR Lab of Microbiology Department of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital for tests. The test results show three people including two medical officers were infected with coronavirus. However, both of them are now well. They have been kept at home quarantine.
Besides, the corona-infected youth is undergoing at the isolation centre of Upazila Health Complex.
