10 of a family test virus positive in B’baria

Online Desk : Ten members of a single family have contracted with coronavirus in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria, raising the number of cases to 16 in the upazila.
Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex official Dr Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday.

According to sources, two people of the family, residents of Jafarpur village, first infected with the coronavirus. Later, the total family was quarantined and samples from the members were sent to Dhaka for tests.

Eight of other family members were found positive in the result on Monday.

Another health worker in the upazila is also tested positive for the virus.

A coronavirus infected patient was released from Nabinagar Sadar Hospital after his recovery from the disease.

“We will take all necessary steps to take care of the infected patients in the upazila. A total of 16 infected with the virus in the upazila,” said Dr Habibur.
