Online desk : Goshairhat Upazila Health Complex in Shariatpur district has been put on lockdown by the health department and local administration.
Besides, 110 staff of the health complex including 10 doctors and 13 nurses have been asked to stay at home quarantine.
Moreover, those who have come in their contact will also be sent to home quarantine.
It was confirmed by Dr Abdur Rashid (Disease Control) of the Shariatpur District Civil Surgeon office on Tuesday.
Dr Abdur Rashid said four persons, including two women contracted coronavirus infection in Shariatpur on Monday. One of them was the maid of a nurse of Goshairhat Upazila Health Complex. So, Goshairhat Upazila Health Complex was put on temporary lockdown at about 11:30pm on Monday. Samples of specimen of 110 staff of the health complex will be sent to Dhaka for tests. The health complex would remain under temporary lockdown until the test result reports received. The next steps would be taken once the reports are received, he said.
However, he said 13 patients who were admitted to the health complex would remain under treatment as usual. If necessary, all can contact with the Shariatpur Sadar Hospital, he said.
