Health and Family Planning officer of the Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex Dr Munir Ahmed and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Rezaul Karim confirmed at about 8:00pm on Saturday that two MLS were infected with the coronavirus. Earlier, a female and a male medical officers of the health complex were infected with coronavirus.
Besides, a young man of Haluaghat upazila was first infected with coronavirus on April 16 last.
Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex Dr Munir Ahmed said samples of throat swabs of 65 persons have so far been sent to the PCR Lab of the Department of Microbiology at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Of them, five were tested coronavirus positive. Two infected medical officers returned home after they recovered from the illness recently, while two infected persons are undergoing treatment at the isolation unit of the health complex. One person is also under treatment at his home. Age of the two infected MLS is 40. All the persons tested coronavirus infection are now well.
