2,000 doctors given postings to corona hospitals; Joining May 12

Online Desk : The temporarily recruited 2,000 physicians for fighting against coronavirus outbreak have been given postings. Giving their postings, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued an order on Sunday.

Earlier on May 4, The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification after the recruitment.

The order said the doctors have been appointed to the post of assistant civil sergeon as per the recommendations by the BPSC with a salary of Tk 22,000-53,060 under national pay scale, 2015.

It also said that the newly-recruited doctors will have to mandatorily submit their joining letter to their respective offices.

In this regard, they will have to follow the sample of the joining letter published on the website of Health and Family Welfare Ministry and the DGHS.

Among other conditions, the order mentioned that they will discharge duties only COVID-19- dedicated hospitals/institutes until further instruction.
