Eskayef starts supplying Remdesivir to hospitals

Online Desk ; Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd, one of the country’s leading medicine manufacturing companies, has been given approval to begin marketing of its manufactured drug Remdesivir, which is proven to be the most effective in the coronavirus treatment.

After getting approval from the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) on Sunday, the company already supplied the drug to 13 hospitals.

The brand name of Eskayef’s drug is ‘Remivir 100 Injection’.

The DGDA Directorate General Major General Md Mahbubur Rahman told media, “We endorsed marketing of Eskayef drug. Now, the company can supply the drug to the COVID-19 dedicated government and private hospitals for the coronavirus treatment.”

Simeen Hossain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Eskayef Pharmaceuticals, said, “SK+F wants to make the coronavirus treatment easily accessible for all and to protect Bangladesh people from the Coronavirus pandemic. For that reason, it is producing Remdesivir drug.”
