Patharghata coast guard station commander Lt Mehedi said on information about smuggling of deer’s skin and head, they conducted a drive Badurtola Canal area at early hours and recovered these.
The smugglers fled from the spot sensing the presence of law enforcers. The skins and head were handed over to forest department.
