The detainees were Al-Amin Sheikh, 36, a resident of Ahmedpur village under Bera upazila, Shafiqul Islam, 36, of Raghunathpur village, and Omar Hossain, 40, of Gangohati village under Ataikula Police Station in the district.
RAB-12 company commander Aminul Kabir Tarafdar said on information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at the bus terminal area of the town and detained three drug peddlers with the 5,500 Yaba tablets and Tk 5,000 cash.
A case has been lodged with Pabna Sadar Police Station and they were sent to jail following a court order.
