Online desk : Police recovered the body of a listed drug trader from Sadar upazila of Joypurhat on Wednesday morning. Acting on information that two groups of drug traders are exchanging fire, police rushed to Bhutiapara Kadamtali Bridge area and recovered the body of Rubel Hossain Dalim,40.
Sadar police OC Shahriar Khan confirmed the matter.
However, other drug traders engaged in the firing fled the scene sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
A foreign pistol and some drugs were recovered from the scene. Police said Dalim was an acused of eight cases including of murder, abduction and drug abuse.
