Online Desk : All the four members of Bollywood’s superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s family, who are being treated for Covid-19 in a health facility in Mumbai, are improving gradually as they are “responding well to the treatment”.
Amitabh Bachchan, his son actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and the megastar’s eight-year-old granddaughter Aaradhya were admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital recently after they were diagnosed Covid-19 positive.
“They all are ok…They are responding well to the treatment…they are in the isolation ward of the hospital,” news agency PTI today quoted the hospital sources as saying.
Amitabh and Abhishek were admitted in the isolation centre of the hospital on Sunday while Aishwarya Rai and Aradhya were isolated at home in their Mumbai residence.
Aishwarya and Aradhya moved to the same hospital on Friday when they were suffering from breathing problems at home.
“They all are okay now…Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will be in the hospital maybe for a day or two,” the news agency reported.
Meanwhile, the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchon,77, shared his health updates by his Twitter profile. He shared a number of posts in his tweeter acknowledging his fans and well-wishers.
“In happy times, in times of illness, you our near and dear, our well-wishers, our fans have ever given us unstinting love, affection, care and prayer…We express our bountiful gracious gratitude to you all..in these circumstances hospital protocol, restrictive,” Big B wrote.
As the Big-B along with other three members of his family were diagnosed with Covid-19, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation carried out sanitization of Amitabh Bachchan’s residence on Sunday morning, declaring it as containment zone.
Amitabh Bachchan lives in Mumbai, which has been one of the worst hit cities by the deadly respiratory disease in India.
According to Indian Health ministry reports, the total cases of coronavirus in India rose to 10,38,716 with 34,884 new cases in the last 24 hours across the country. However, 6,53,751 Covid-19 positive patients were recovered so far.
The total deaths due to Covid-19 stood at 26,273 till today with 671 deaths registered in the last 24 hours across India.
