Besides, the hospital allegedly charges patients Tk 3,000 to Tk 10,000 for the antibody test.
RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam came up with the allegation on Sunday afternoon while conducting the drive.
“We’ve received three allegations against the hospital. The DGHS cancelled its approval given to the hospital to conduct COVID-19 test due to lack of automatic machine. Despite cancellation, the authorities are continuing COVID-19 test. They also tested outside patients through unapproved devices. And the reports were fake,” said the magistrate.
“The second allegation is that some tests were done in other hospitals. But, the reports have been given to the patients after writing on the hospital’s pad. And the third allegation is they reused masks, gloves which are onetime usable,” he added.
Earlier on July 6, RAB conducted drives Regent hospital’s Uttara and Mirpur branches on various allegations.
