Online Desk : Dhaka (North) BCL vice-president Sabuj Al Sahba has been placed on a five-day remand in a rape case.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dheeman Chandra Mandal passed the order on Thursday.
The court also put Sabuj’s friend Bibi Fatema Jhumur on a three-day remand in the same case.
Earlier, police arrested Sabuj and Jhumur,35, from the capital on Wednesday night following a rape case filed by a 22-year-old girl with Mirpur Model Police Station.
The girl is the domestic help of Jhumur. Meanwhile, the victim was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical test.
