She filed the case against Pradip Das, owner of Canada based YouTube Channel and Facebook page ‘Hindu Lives Matter’ and Khokon Saha.
Bangladesh Cyber Tribunal Judge As-Shams Jaglul Hossain directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police to investigate the allegations and submit a report within February 8.
According to the case, the YouTube channel broadcasted news which claimed Hindu community in Bangladesh are being harassed and oppressed by Islamic fundamentalists.
The case statement said that the channel is spreading false, wrong information and rumors.
