Earlier, his namaz-e-janaza was held at Gosai Joair Azim Memorial High School ground after Juma prayers. A large number of people attended the janaza.

Mahbub Alam Mridul died of cardiac arrest at Evercare Hospital in the capital at about 6:23pm on Thursday (January 21). He was 23.
Mridul was born on January 25, 1997 to an aristocratic Muslim family at Gosai Joair village under sadar upazila in Tangail. His father SM Shamsul Alam is Vice-Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd.
The sudden death of Mahbub Alam Mridul cast a dark shadow over the Walton family.
