The total death toll from the COVID-19 now reached at 8,111 and the cases at 5,34,770.
Health authorities also reported 337 more recoveries over the preceding 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,79,297.
In the last 24 hours, 204 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country collected 11,849 samples and tested 12,084.
With this, a total of 33,02,429 samples were tested in the country.
Among the newly deceased, 10 were men and the rest seven were women. Of them, seven are from Dhaka, five from Chattogram, two from Sylhet, and one each from Khulna, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions.
The infection rate is 3 per cent in the last 24 hours, compared to the samples tested, while the overall infection rate is 14.69 per cent.
So far, the recovery rate is 89.63 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.52 per cent.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 last year and the first death on March 18 the same year.
According to Worldometer’s COVID-19 data, the deadly virus has killed 22,18,042 people globally and infected 10,27,01,324 as of today afternoon.
