In last 24 hours, some 472 more corona patients were declared free from the virus infection, raising the total recovered number to 4,80,216.
The recovery rate in the country is now 89.66 per cent.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed these through a press release signed by Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of DGHS, this afternoon.
As many as 12,556 samples were tested at 206 authorised labs across the country in the last 24 hours.
Of the dead, nine were male while rest one was woman. All of them died at different hospitals.
Meanwhile, the COVID vaccine doses have already been reached at some districts in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus case on March 8 last year and the first death on March 18 the same year.
According to Worldometer’s COVID-19 data, the deadly virus has killed 22,38,944 people globally and infected 10,35,74,632 as of Monday afternoon.
